i have a 300 6 4x4 84 f150 and wanted to go 302 then turbo 300 6 and now in thinking use some parts from an f250 i can get VERY cheap, like axles and leaves and then it can handle 460 power but who makes a conversion kit for this motor swap but not L and L because they are good but want $2500+ for the kit.

The f250/350 axles won't fit a f150 frame, unless you make it fit. Why re-invent the wheel? Just slip the whole f250 frame under your f150 body. Guess, what? The f250/350's came with a 460. Just go buy a truck with body problems cheap that has a 460 in it, and use it as a donor.

yeah i know its alot of work but i can get matching axles from a late 70's f250 for $100 with leaf springs and my 8.8 is not far from needing an overhaul and that will cost more than the axles. are you saying they are to wide?

and the ones under the truck have very high gears in them that are holding the truck back bad.

You will need 351m/400m, 460 engine perches. They need to be from a 80-97 Fseries. Youe will also need a trans from the same. A 70's D44 is a good axle but not so sure with the massive 460 sitting on top of it though.

If it was me i would either find a F250 or F350 chassis or put a D60 in the front and a sterling 10.25 in the rear

70's front axles are compltelty differnt. You would have to make custom spring perches to get the front to fit. Using a 79 D60 that is

Ford stopped using the soild axle in 79. The solid axle did not come back until 1985.5 And then it was a D60 in F350s w leaf springs. They kept leaf springs until 2005 then the F250-f550 got coil springs
