My great-grandfather bought this one new. Probably his last vehicle. The story is that he never owned anything but a Ford pickup with a 6cyl, manual transmission, and a heater.

My '63

Just got this- a '63 with i6. According to the VIN it has the 262 i6. I know this is unusual so I'm taking that with a grain of salt for now.

It's a New Mexico truck so not a lot of rust. First order of business is to rebuild the front suspension- it's all over the road right now!

I'm wondering how it will do pulling my 3800 lb. 1964 Avion travel trailer a couple of times a year...

Okay...now to figure out how to post the pic!

As soon as I get it back I'll shoot a bunch 'o pics.
Thinking dark blue pin striping.

I don't seem to be able to post pictures... no link to do so. My login here is several years old and I just reactivated it. I have a support ticket in on the issue.

I was able to update my avatar with a pic of my Unibody!

Here's my 62 with 262 six and 4-speed. Has a hole in the number one piston so the motor will be coming out. I was going to put a V8 in it but I think I'll just rebuild the 262 since there aren't that many around. Some people claim the 262 wasn't available in an F100 in '62 and most of the Ford literature doesn't show it.

Nice 62 Jeff, they would have a tough time getting past the "B" in your serial number.

I still need a title for mine but cant find the vin anywhere on the truck. The last time it was inspected and registered was in 96' and it still has the plates on it. Shouldn't I be able to take the plates to registration office and they can find out what the vin is from there?

Hell in California they'd look at you like you had three heads.
"Help, you want help?" "And it's an old truck?" "Why don't you go buy a new GM car, er truck" That'll be $500.
