Here is a link to my garage:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/g...80-ADPSMP.html

Bought this truck for my wife for our 20th Anniversary. She chose it over a big ole' diamond ring. Gotta love her!!!
Decent condition 61 Uni 6cl 4 speed. Has a 10' paint job, but has almost new cab mounts, front fenders, and newer gas tank. Not perfect by any means, but a nice starter. Needs all new brakes and steering rebuild...(coming soon)

Vintage Rig

Here is my '63 Unibody on it's first excursion, this past weekend, pulling my 1964 Avion travel trailer. The Avion trailer is lighter than it looks; approximately 3,800lbs dry, and has a load balancing hitch. I've done a lot of work on the truck to get it to this point as a trailer hauler: new brake shoes, new wheel cylinders (replaced the front single-piston cylinders with dual-piston), brake power booster and dual reservoir master cylinder from CPP, replaced some rusty brake lines, installed electric brake controller, new clutch, rebuilt front end, generator replaced with alternator, 3-point safety belts.

This truck has the optional big 262 i6 engine. I was kind of worried about the engine since it has not been rebuilt recently, if ever. But it did great and pulled just fine at my target highway speed of 55-60mph without too much effort and without billowing smoke or using oil. I like the engine and have absolutley no desire to do a V8 upgrade!

We had a great time camping at the lake and attending a small music festival 30 miles from home.

This is part of my grand plan: I will now sell my Chevy Silverado, get a small economical car for daily driving, and keep the '63 as a hobby vehicle and to haul my trailer and serve other utility needs. I only need to haul the trailer a few times a year, on trips usually less than 75 miles, over the flat Kansas terrain.

I like the two tone colors, but I think it would have looked better with unibody doors on it

Don't think I've shared pics of mine on here, yet. '61 short bed. Looks like I will be using a Dakota suspension kit, flipping the rear axle, working on the 292 (have a set of '57 T-bird heads and rockers with the matching intake and Holley) and planning a 5 speed behind it. Needs tons of metal work but I only paid $202.50 for it with a clear title and have the tools (still learning the skills) to do the repairs.

I retire in December and this is my project. Plan on splitting time between the uni and my Falcon. Can just run around in the '66 for parts and the like and work on the uni and coon as I want. Gathering parts right now.

Still looking for a better hood, RF fender and probably a right door for the uni.

Love those Uni's!

Here's my '62 Uni.
Decided against the 302 and C4 that once resided in her. Pic is when i picked it up and vid is how she is now, going all black. Just dropped in a '71 429 and C6. Motor is questionable as to whats in it but its branded with Erson valve covers and you can hear how she sounds with mufflers on. Cant wait for the first test drive
