I dont have a pic of mine to post w/ flares installed, been dragging my feet on camera shots lately, but I will post them up when I get home this trip (work offshore) and I want to say the flares cost me about 300.00 bucks and the paint 250.00 so.. 550-600ish? either way, I am super happy with the look of them with the tire/wheel combo (-12 offset)

Rare Ford Flares
Here's a rare Ford flare: I ordered these from Ford about 13 years ago.
Genuine Ford part numbers are F81Z-16268-AAA thru AAJ, YC3Z-16268-AAA thru AAC, F81Z-9929164-AAA, F81Z-9929165-AAA, F81Z-16038-AAA, F81Z-16039-AAA; and Ford printed installation instructions are SKXC3J-16268-AA.
What is unique about these fender flares is the way they terminate at the bottom of the fender, next to the bottom of the door. There is a little bit of design detail down there that I have not seen in other flares. (I added the Ford front mudflaps, and the lights in the running boards are from an Excursion)
What is really weird is that I have never seen these Ford flares anywhere else, on any truck, ever... neither in pictures, nor in real life, (other than on my own truck.) I had them painted body color, and they just so happened to line up with the Warn front bumper extension trim for the hidden 15K winch behind the factory bumper.
Here is how these Fords flares look today, after 13 years of 100+ degree summers and never having been garaged:
For a long time I thought I'd rather have the fender flares with the body crease, as they appeared to look more factory than the these genuine factory flares do. But I never could figure out who made the flares with the body crease (EGR?, Xenon?, Bushwacker?) because the pictures on retailer websites at that time didn't necessarily show the EXACT appearance of the flare, only "similar to" images.
After a while, the "smooth" look of these genuine Ford flares grew on me, and it also matched the Warn bumper extensions. Now that the 11 up Superduties have gone rounded and done away with the body crease around the wheel well altogether, I guess these original Ford flares from 1999 are now up to date again?

Great looking truck! Do holes have to be drilled under all those rivets? I'd like to get some flares like that for my truck but I'm worried that drilling holes will cause a serious rust problem for me down the road. I live in northern nj and they go crazy with road salt around here.
