Largest tire size 2wd stock suspension

still lookin for tires guys, was wondering whats the largest you can put on a stock 2wd w.o rubbing? i heard 30's would fit which would be a 255 i believe? i have 235's on there now but i kinda would like something a little bit bigger. i also heard though that if i went larger than 235's i should get the trucks rear end re-geared. i like the mickey thompson atz radials, heard they were also good in the snow, but they dont come in smaller than 30's. if i have to i dont mind going with the 235's i just wanted to throw the idea out there...any insight, or ideas would be helpful thanks guys..
