Just so you know, that new 6.4L is nice (my dad has one), but it doesn't necessarily put that power to the pavement very well IMO. It's like the truck can determine how much to engage the transmission depending on the load. It's hard to spin tires on the gravel anyways... new high-tech stuff now? I don't know...

Love this mod, worked great for me in this Texas heat. I also put an electric vacuum switch on mine for complete control.

Thanks for the link to the write up. So it just makes your A/C work better? Any performance benefits? I was thinking of how cool it would be if you could somehow run max A/C into your intake box for cold air intake.

Basically, it uses a valve off a Ranger. since the heater core and evaporator are so close together in the air box, even with the flap closed, it'll still heat the cold air coming off the evaporator. What the valve does is cut off the supply to the heater core whenever you have the selector or "MAX A/C" or "OFF". I wrote a thread about it... you can see it here: Cold A/C Mod/Ranger Valve Mod WITH Pictures! - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

It's worth it IMO... it was only a $20 part, anyways. On top of that, it's a Ford part! It's one of the more logical mods that I have done, anyways.

BTW, go ahead and call me sometime... I just am too lazy to type out everything I learned about the e99 and some of the work-arounds for it.
