Not a very good way to conduct business, throw parts at it then give up. I hope you got your truck out of there!

You're getting all of your money back right?

Either have it towed to a actual diesel shop, or maybe a nearby member would be willing to help you out... (not volunteering anyone by name, but maybe someone who recently did a PSD swap into a 351W truck?)

(Leading me to believe it might have been the hose and not the sensor) Then they said, the cam position sensor was bad and changed that out and if that isn't enough they are now telling me that "They got it all figured out and its got a bad Injector pressure sensor" And the sensor alone is $999. Can I believe this? I never got any service lights and never had any problems with this truck. My gut says No. But I don't know diesels, this is my first. Can somebody give me some input?
It sounds like the shop you have it at is just guessing and that can get expensive fast. You need someone that can diagnose it, not change "test parts". The first thing is to find out what the ICP is (Injection control pressure) a PSD needs about 500psi to start and run. It is easy do do with the right scanner, take about 1 minute. Ask them if they have checked that.

It didn't work. ( I will check the chip) They then called me to say. Their giving up. I never heard of a shop giving up before. I'm sure it happens, I've just never experienced it. This is all taking place in Phoenix, AZ. Near Bell Rd. and Cave Creek Rd. I just realized the symptoms remind me of the time I let an employee drive my truck and and he accidentally put reg. gas in it.( Backfiring, loss of power, eventually dying and would not start after that.) Could there be residual gas in there, If so how could I find out? What would i have to do to correct this? Anybody have an idea?
I left you a message, contact me when you get it!

If you're in Phoenix, get the truck to ContactUs if you don't want to try and do this yourself. The only danger your pocketbook faces there is from all the tempting mods.

Taken for a ride

I haven't paid for anything yet, and don't plan to. And they don't expect me to.(how could they, they haven't fixed it, right?) My truck is still down there. Trying to figure out what to do next. Thinking about draining tanks to see if there is somehow gas in the tank. Also will check the chip. May need a suggestion of a reputable diesel tech down there.

Wilford, they are pretty close to where you are at now. Out by Deer Valley Airport and 7th Ave. Spent 27 years down in that area.

Welcome to FTE. You really should stop by and say hi to Dennis (even though no one seemed to like my link above ) I've dealt with him for years, as have many of us.
