I was smart - I dressed for the occasion and covered up, so I'm fairly clean. A bit sweaty and dirty from putting the roller tires on, but that's about it...lol.
Yes, it's rattle can but 3M rattle can. Found it by chance in the parts store last night so I grabbed it. Would rather the air gun setup, but it is what it is.

Thanks Marshall.
Hey Marshall! Bill, I'll be curious to see how that 3M stuff works, I'm going to give it a try. Got a gun pretty cheap off of Amazon for it, too.
Appreciate it. I've been working from behind, so I'm glad things are coming together. Goes for the bed to be painted on Wednesday night, so I'm trying to wrap up as many loose ends before then as I can, so that once it's back it's not a total marathon to get done as I'll only have one full weekend and a few days before Ford Nationals.

I will be also. It was suggested that I use bedliner rather than undercoating, but the problem with bedliner is that it leaves a textured surface - in some places it doesn't matter but in others (like wheelwells) I want to see a smooth finish as Ford intended from the factory. Undercoating leaves that kind of a finish for me, rather than the paint on bedliner texture.
Oh, that's right. You're cutting this one close for that show, buddy!
Nothing like the 11th hour. This is last year all over again, just with the longer commute complicating my life...lol. That's why I'm trying to get as much done as I can before it leaves for about 5 days. Then when it comes back, it should just be details to clean up and be "done," though I'm never really done tinkering.
I was going to go with bedliner also, but, I decided against it.
Yeah, me too. And with this truck not seeing a ton of weather (rain at worst, hopefully done with winter), undercoating should be sufficient. Just needs a coating on the surface to keep rust away.
Years ago I redid a 79 step side with a slight suspension lift. I under coated it with black roof cement(not tar) this had a fiber in it and got a little stiff where the tar would drip off in the summer, but I wasn't doing a show truck. Mine was for function. Winter driving, work, hunting, going fishing and a little play time. Lol
In the way-underneath of the truck, that might not be a big issue...lol. The way the fenders are shaped on the bed, you can't see to the middle of the truck, and that might be the answer, or something similar.
