OK so you asked for pix...(56k warning!)

Well, like any good plan, it's starting to roll together already.
I got my stabilizer hardware last night, and my EBC stuff to do my front brakes. I'm working out the stainless braided brake line stuff with Matt (Archion) to try and get that situated. Once I get the lines, that's my next project.
I liked the idea of going with black zinc for the rotors (I put a pic on Facebook but it's network banned here at the office so I can't bring it over, yet). This way there's not a brilliantly visible disc behind the alloys up front...dulls it down a little.

Thanks Neil. When I went to the bigger footprint tires, I noticed a big drop-off in stopping power with stock stuff. Some of it is the way I drive (I am a bit heavy-footed) but the other part of it is the extra wheel mass out there. I am looking forward to the results I get from this upgrade.

Success!
One of the issues I kept stubbing my toe over is the steel hose I planned to switch to on my front brakes. Russell didn't seem to make a 4WD kit, I considered building my own which would have been a little more expensive but doable, and there were other things along the way.
Enter Crown Performance (on suggestion from Matt (Archion)).
Turns out these fine folks out of SoCal make all kinds of brake lines (even for off-road competition vehicles) - and all handmade in the US. A kit for my truck is comparably priced to Russell's stuff, and from all appearances just as good. The guy I dealt with was really easy to talk to and seemed to know his stuff really well.
So in about a week, I'll be ready to do my brake upgrade. Worth pointing out who this company is in case anyone is interested in similar products.

So today was the big brake upgrade day. Woohoo!
Decided while I was in there to do a little painting...rest later:
Finally, a good shot of the rotors I got for it. EBC, slotted and dimpled. The finish is black zinc...not sure how long it will hold up but we'll find out.
EBC is also where I got the pads - these are "Green Stuff" heavy duty pads...
And here's a shot of the much bally-hooed brake lines. Crown Performance, braided stainless. Went on easy enough and look good, no real complaints except their bracket at the frame could have stood to be a little longer to give more flexibility in hose positioning.
Didn't get everything on my list for today done, but that's alright...was a good productive day and capped off well. Truck doesn't stop on a dime yet, but it's definitely improved. I will feel much better when I get around to the rear disc brake swap lol.
