Some at least "short term" good news on the plug. Looks like it just worked itself out. Threaded back in nicely last night, and I ran it up to operating temperature and romped on it a bit and it stayed put. Time will tell. Meanwhile, saving my money where I can to get heads for winter projects.
That's very true! But especially in that tight of an engine compartment, I'd rather just go in and do it once rather than go in there multiple times.
I can not blame you Bill. I will admit, I have not done much work on this truck mainly for that fact. Things are just too damn tight or there is really no way to comfortably reach some of the stuff under the hood.
Been a while since I posted anything here, so this seems as good a place as any. Facebook popped a 2011 picture up this morning, so it got the wheels turning. Can you say "different"?
The thing has come a long way, for sure. Got a couple more tricks up my sleeve yet that I'm throwing around too. Biggest thing I really need to deal with is getting the rocker panels replaced - they're getting kinda rough and my own bodywork isn't going to keep the rust at bay too much longer. Will just need to bite the bullet and have my body guy do them for me and paint the whole cab/front clip this winter.
I'm sure you can. Familiar issue in this part of the world. Talked to a guy last night who was able to find a clean southern cab for cheap and threw one on his - I considered that option but really the rest of my cab is solid...so I kind of hate to go to that effort just for the rockers.
