Nicer Aftermarket Seats?

Does anyone make direct install front seats that are more comfortable and nicer than the ex seats? I would like something with a lot of padded leather like a Cadillac, etc. I would also like to replace the second and third row seats with something nicer as well. I have read about the Navigator seats but there is modifying involved. I may have to go this route but I was curious if there were aftermarket ones that fit already.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
Thanks

Nothing that I know of that's aftermarket.

You could try the front seats from the new 2011 Super Duty though.

Do you think they would be a direct fit into a 2005 Excursion?

Thanks!

I'm not completely certain and have always wondered that question myself.

Want to be the guinea pig and find out?

You would use the rails off the X then, let the fun begin. It could be a direct bolt from a 2011 SuperDuty or have to fab a few mounting pieces between the seat and your old rails. The third row would be a stickler.

I have been on the after market seat before and I never seem find anything worth while, price is another factor with any seat you find.

You don't think that the entire seat would be a direct bolt-on for the Excursion? It sure would be nice to have those seats.

Well, buy 2011 SuperDuty, discard remaining truck to me after removing seats. Sure it will fit.

I would have no idea, and saying YES, would be a clear lie. They Should work but you know Ford.

Haha, goodone!!

That's very true. Someone here on the forum has got to know if they fit on the Excursions as well as the older trucks.

since its the same body as '99 im pretty sure(99%) that the front seats would be a direct bolt in. but theres that 1% possiblity.

There was some talk about the 11 seats compared to the older in the superduty forum I was reading about a few weeks ago. You could do a search in there and get a better idea, but like alaskaex said I'm 99% sure they fit.

Yeah, I figured that it shouldn't require much if any work, but like you say, there is that slight chance that it's completely different.

Finding a set out of a crashed truck would be impossible....not sure if any conversion companies are still doing trucks. Through Ford parts, hang on $$$. I want a set for my 03 and the only thing I can think of is Sat night at the dealer lot, but it isn't worth it.

I guess if anyones interested in these seats, they will have to wait a little bit longer for some wrecked trucks to end up at salvage yards...or are you saying that the seats, even with wrecked trucks, will still be hard to get? Haha, your 03s seats will have to suffice for awhile longer.

You figure 60,000 trucks, narrow it down to Lariet, 48 States. Most involved in accidents are repairable.....hard shooting odds at the moment for finding a set and the slavage yard will view them as eye candy.

Maybe we can contact partsguyed and do a group buy....

So you won't have to be narrowed down so much to one trim level, you could take the seats from all the trim levels and just have your own leather like from Katzkin installed so it can match. This of course would cost much more than simply getting general color (beige or black) to begin with.

That's an idea...

I wonder if armrests could be installed on the seats...?
