I ran my distribution in copper, avoids the corrosion issue (this was before the price went thru the roof).

While using my air grinders the other day, directly off the top of the tank, thru a 25' hose laying on the floor, I started getting water out the exhaust port on the grinder. I need to re-pipe it so there is a separator or drip trap ahead of everything.

Soooo.... everyone draining their tank regularly?! It's been fairly humid (for the desert) here, amazing how much it collects.

I've been running the blast cabinet a lot here lately, which keeps the Quincy QT5 80 gallon busy. Draining twice, sometimes three times a day. Humid as heck, I'm dumping the dehumidifier tank daily too, probably two gallons I'd guess. Stu

60 pint dehumidifier in the garage, emptied twice daily.

been leaving the power off and the petcock open on my 80 gallon black max. When I need to use it, I turn it on and close the petcock. When I'm done, I just return it to it's idle state. Been too hot and humid to want to do anything out there anyway, lol.

Since mine is buried in an outside shed I just leave it where there is a slight hiss on the drain valve. Kind of hoky I know but I only power it up when in use.

I shamelessly use one of Harbor Freight's units on both my home and shop compressors. Drains every time the compressor cycles.

The last time this thread came up I modified my compressor. I removed the el cheapo thumb screw drain that it came with and extended the drain out to where I can reach it and put a ball valve on the end. Now that its out where its visible its a constant reminder and I drain it about once a month or so.
