I stopped by a local Mexican restaurant for carry out salsa, i parked and looked back like WTF. When i came back out two more people parked next to the Cadillac, thus blocking in three people. I swear half the people i deal with on a daily basis are dead from the neck up.
I finally bought a Bully Dog diesel programmer and installed a program on my diesel X. have owned the truck for 10 years now. Wish I had done it earlier.
Got the driver's side V code springs installed...I'm a little concerned...truck actually measures 3/4 inch lower on drivers side now. Could that be because I haven't put the passengers side springs in yet?
I got the passengers side springs in...all looks good. Both sides are measuring the same from the fender to the ground. I think the funny measurements I got earlier were from the gravel drive and the 1/2 job!

A better, more precise measurement is from fender lip to center of wheel hub. That way it removes the wheels and tires as factors in the equation and your measurements can be accurately compared to other rigs that are measured the same way.
Yes, I will check that measuremnet when I get home to compare it. I just threw a quick check from the fender to compare both sides of the truck, because I was worried about the measurement from yesterday.
I only had one trip across that I had to back up twice and give it some throttle. Them chains are a life saver sometimes! I really think I would have been sitting there spinning my tires if I wouldn't have put them on.
Looks like a fun day at the Scout camp Snow, try to keep him in the Scouts, my son earned his Eagle Scout rank earlier this year, very proud of him for that!
Tore down, greesed, and put together my passenger side hub (it had seized up). Works perfectly now. Found a broken vacuum line to the drivers side hub. Approximately 2" had broken off. Fortunately there was enough slack so I could reattach the hose. I will have to replace the vacuum line soon as it is drying out.
