What did you do to the X today?
Just finished up installing rear shocks with Rancho 9000's and a Hellwig sway bar. Then replaced the stock steering stabilizer with a Rancho replacement. Took the Ex out for a drive and had to just about giggle! It corners just about flat now and no rattles or thumps from under the floor! I'm a happy camper!
SGii and BlendMount arrived today and were mounted. This thing is ridiculously in-depth with what all it can read and display, plus the code reading and clearing is nice as well. Spent a good 20 minutes programming a bunch of X-Gauge codes in off the website for extra codes and whatnot - ICP, IPR, intake air temp, manifold air temp, exhaust back pressure (why not lol), oil temp...
Did a few 0-60 runs with it recording as well. Managed to cut a 1.8 60' with a launch that surprised me when the transmission stayed together. Won't be doing that again.

Non - Ex related but i had a surprise today. I've been told over and over SAT radio will not work this far north. Today i was driving my grandmas new Chrysler 300C and some how hit a button and landed on it and guess what? it worked! it was spotty though, so not worth having a paid sub. I really enjoy it in rental cars when i'm in the lower 48.
On my trailers I drill out the hubs between the two bearings and install zerks so I can grease the bearings (from the middle pushing the dirt out without removing anything or getting dirty. Bearing buddy caps push the dirt that the bearing pushed out back into and threw both bearings.
Everything should have a zerk!
Less than a year or so i decided to drill a small hole in the hub to install a zurk so i could pump grease into it. i figured if i have as much grease in there as possible there would be less of a chance of water getting in there. well when i was putting my new outer shaft in i had to put in a new spindle bearing also(it was rusty). so i thought if i put in my driveflange and cover, and than pump grease in the hub tell it comes out the back where the axle shaft meets the back of the spindle, the spindle bearing whould have plenty of grease and the water should stay out now.(or so i hope) the only prob i could see was if you tried to pump the grease in too fast it would just push out the wheelbearing seal. i pumped some in than turned the hub, pumped some in turned the hub.(repeated tell full.) here is a pic of the zurk i put in... i drilled a hole about the same size has the little ball that is in the zurk, than drilled a bigger hole just deep enough and big enough for the zurk to thread in..
the grease comes out the seal on the axle shaft at the back of the spindle.
When i broke my ring gear I pulled the front end apart and I took a couple pics. didn't wipe anything off. Not as big af a mess as i thought it would be. i have run the hubs plump full of grease ever sense 10/2008.
spindle bearing
stub shaft
inside of hub(wheel bearings)
as you can see there was no water or mud in there.. most important no rust!

O, and I drive the Ex to work today!
Zerks in trailer spindles are great for keeping the bearings lubed, as long as you can control yourself...... My old toyhauler had the Easy Lube spindles and the PO had gone wild with a grease gun and had 3 of the 4 rear seals blown out of the drum and about a pound of grease in each brake assembly. It stopped much better once that was all replaced with new.

You don't just keep pumping till you see it coming out all over?
Yesterday I got the rest of the fuel rail stuff buttoned up. All ten fuel injector pigtails had to be ziptied on, HA!
Truck started right up after I primed the fuel about 4 times.
I also got THIS STUFF today...
There is a Victor torch leaning up against one of the bottles there. I basically paid $200 for the lot!

Nice snag Ben. Definitely handy to have around and a skill I hope to eventually learn.
Finished the high idle mod.
Here is the little adapter I made to go into the PCM (not exactly Snowseeker worthy I have to admit lol):
Soldered up (it just got worse as I went along, I am no "solder'er'er"?)
Into the PCM:
Next up coolant flush!
