Sprayed the underside and fenders with an entire gallon of Fluid Film. Even though it was near freezing, the stuff still sprayed well using the FF sprayer that came in the kit. It attaches to an air compressor and you have to have 90 psi. So far I am very happy with how it covered and Knowing I took active steps to keeping my Ex for the next 10 years.
I loves me some turbo whistle. Possibly the best sounding one was on the Detroit Series 60 that lived under the hood of my '07 Freightliner. That thing sounded like a jet engine just above idle.
Sold my 08 18's today! $400, a little less than I was wanting but when when we were leaving the house I told my wife "I bet he has $400 cash in hand when we get there". She laughed and said she thought the same thing As soon as we pulled up before we even opened up the back of the X he said "would you take $400 fer em?" and held out a handful of $20. I didn't even reach for the money, my wife grabbed it and started counting it like she does (she always goes with me and handles the money) and said "good to go" and then we loaded them up and he left.
So I love all the room in this thing but I hate how all my crap just piles up in the back. I made this box for my Xterra and it fits this pretty well with the 3rd row back in. Obviously it is the wrong color, but I'm thinking about making a new one to fit without the 3rd row, which will get the correct color carpet.
This one is just a basic box, no fancy slides. If I make a new one I'll probably go all out with slides/drawers.
A gentle snow left a dusting of snow on my Ex, after sitting for a week i fired it up and took it down to fill up. Had a 30 cent discount so i was in the sub $2 range! First time in a long while I've been able to do that.
Pulled the drawbar out of the hitch, had to use wife's Jeep with a strap and hammer to get it out. So I had to do some grinding and filing of the hitch and drawbar to get them to move freely. All this so I can pick up my new to me enclosed snowmobile trailer tomorrow after work!
