What size did you pick up? mine are 15". Yea from what I've seen 10"s are about the biggest you can fit in both doors with adequate air flow and everything fitting.
but subs these not designed to be discrete!

I got a couple of the 12".

My preference would have been 2 - 10" type Rs but they're not that easy to come by as pairs (I'm looking to buy used) around these parts.

The 12s were there, within a short drive and priced right so I jumped on them.

If I can get around 1 cubic foot WITH displacement then Alpine says they should play fine sealed so that's what I'm hoping I'll be able to get with my box design.

The subs will be powered by a PDX-1000 and the front stage with a PDX-4.150. I'm still looking out for another 4.150 for the rest of the setup.

Lol, they are incredible cars but my taste is a little more conservative on cars verses trucks.

Damn Russ, good eye. Couple Craigslist wheel finds with Plastidip FTW.

Here's what I did....and so it begins. Prepping for Tintable Raptor Liner
over the entire Excursion. Lots of prep to do. Lots of dings from gravel
roads, and rust spots found under the cladding. Raptor will cover entire Ex, and cladding will go back on (the quarters, and fender lips are pretty patchy at best).

Hope to have it ready for spraying by end of next week.
I'll start a thread to show the Raptor going on, results, etc.
Color change should be pretty nice. We'll see.

Took the Ex to get a turbo cleaning and check over, I towed my Durango on the car trailer down and the Durango with trailer back. Going down the Ex was lacking power so hopefully it will come back ready to pull.

Its a tintable bedliner, similar to Monstaliner.

if you have a build thread, I'll have to follow it. I want to do mine at some point in OD green.

Took out my 'old' Pioneer AVH-8500BHS and installed a new AVH-4000NEX so I could have CarPlay.

Holy crap - CarPlay pretty much trounces any car stereo interface I've ever used. It's pretty freaking awesome. Surprisingly the 4000NEX is a huge improvement over the 8500 despite the 8500 being a 2013 model.

I will create a build thread for sure. I hope to get the liner sprayed. Then start fabricating early Winter.
Doing a roof rack first, sliders/steps, then front and rear tube bumpers. Winch in front and swing gate tire/jerry can set up in back.
Gotta make time to do it...that is always the problem.

Fired the Ex up last night and drove it into the seasons first snow fall.

I'm going to have to reserve myself to the fact my auto hubs are not going to work in auto anymore. when i put my snow tires on i'll be locking the hubs. luckily the road was not really covered much last night or i could have been in trouble.

In other news, apparently you can drive around here with the wrong license plates on your truck FOR 6 YEARS! and not get caught. My dad got pulled over 3 times Friday morning (long story but the lead foot runs in the family) and he found out when the truck was almost impounded that the DMV did not transfer his handicap plates from his old truck to the new one when we bought it in 2008 like they claimed they did. wtf!
