They're BFG's. I love the way they handle, but sure wish I had actual 35 or 37" tires on there.

Looks like you'll be on the other side of the state from me. What do you do for work thats bringing you clear out here?

Awesome, I love it, very slick.

I assume you went for the 36" long, 12.5" high versions? It looks like the custom one in the front would be 40" wide (to match the double drawers) and same height as the drawers, but how long is it (front-to-back) in inches? Was the cost of the custom box similar to that of the drawers, or was it quite a bit more given that it was a custom dimension?

How are the drawers held down, and are they removable (when empty obviously)? The reason I ask is that I have a mini compressor & tiny airtank for my ARB lockers inside that little compartment right at the back on the passenger side, so it would be nice to retain access to that compartment in the event that those items needed servicing.

I'd love a system like this since I currently just have a bunch of cheap plastic crates for storing stuff in the back of my X, and other than the spare wheel mount hook and some of the seat brackets there isn't really much way to secure them from sliding around. A system like this would add some usable drawer space below, while still allowing for crates or other cargo on top without obscuring the rear view, as well as providing convenient tie downs for securing whatever cargo was on top.

Anyway, like I said, very slick, I love it.

I solve the spare taking up valuable space problem by putting it on a roof rack up top. I have to admit though, it's a big PITA to take down & put back up, but thankfully heavy duty offroad tires rarely get punctures (knock on wood). I like his setup though, as it would enable me to load a 2nd spare inside, on occasion, for longer offroad trips or adventures down in Baja etc.

That looks like a good time!

Did you get fuel while you were there?

How about some of their Real Coca-cola!

I haven't figured that out yet. I'm running low on gas right now though, so I'll fill it up in the next day or two. I'll have to wait and run it a bit before figuring it out though. I reset the trip to keep track of my initial 500 miles. I'll just write it down tomorrow though so I can check mileage, I'm interested to know too.

After I get the 500 miles done I'll be putting Amsoil back in the pumpkins. Not looking forward to that expense!

I also need to take it in and have the transmission serviced. I haven't done that for 52K miles... EEK
