Stands to reason it would have a higher resale, since it had a higher sale.

just sayin...

That is true until you have a major repair on a diesel. I have seen where some have spent $4000-5000 on fuel system repairs. The real question is how to avoid that.

That's why I drive a 6.0 and 7.3

90% of the repairs I can handle myself. Contaminated fuel? No problem it'll take me some time but my truck will be back up and running before you know it.

I love the new common rail trucks, but if air, water, or anything other than fuel meets the HPFP: BOOM and then $$$$$$

yep. I searched for a while and diesels were quite a bit more expensive.
That was he 6.0's.. the 7.3's..... well.. People must think they are made of gold or something. Or they are high on crack..

Buying a vehicle as an investment (any type) is foolish. That only works on very limited expensive sportscars and even that is questionable. And if you have the money to invest in that, you probably don't have to worry about resale anyways.
It is a depreciating asset.

There can be ways to avoid it.. buy a v10 ! lol
I agree that diesel is great for towing. But for the price of one major repair you can buy an entire new v10 block.
And who wants to get stranded ? That's the main point for me.
Sure the v10 has it's issues too... But they are minor in cost to fix compared to a diesel.

Met up with a fellow Excursion brother when he flew out from Georgia to catch a Giants game with me.

Mecdac, a die hard Braves fan flew out yesterday with his mojo and cheered his Bravos to a 3 - 1 win over my Gigantes.

Good to meet you, Mark. Now Michael is next.

Something I forgot to tell you, that song only gets played when the Giants are tied or behind after the 7th. So take for instance today's game (current score as of the time of this post is 13-3) when the Giants were ahead in the 8th, instead of "Don't Stop Believing" the song that gets played is:

Massacre?

Nah, that was just a win by the Braves. A Massacre is something like (if the score doesn't change) a 13 to 3 win.

My best maths led me to believe that I was outnumbered about 41,367 to 138..Custer may think otherwise.
