Sometime between 2002 and 2005. Sorry, I don't know anything more specific than that. I kinda like it under the hood personally, because storage space out back is already limited enough.

Where did they put it if it isn't under the hood?
I'll tell you it is nice to have toasty warm tools in a wisconsin winter changing a tire in a snowbank.

Haha some dude at the gas station driving an H2 asked if I wanted to sell mine. He said the 7.3's might as well be made of gold.

They put them in an (IMO) extremely inefficient vinyl wrap thing that sits loose inside the spare tire cover. All of the pieces come apart just like the older style and they all fit into pockets in this vinyl thing.
I can try to get a pic next time I'm out at the '05, which will be in the next couple days.
