There are 2 6x6 beams that support right under where the tires go. I've already got 4 6x6 lengths to wedge as pillars under the beams to support the load... the old owner worked on his cars on a regular basis and never had a problem but I doubt any of his cars weighed 7000+lbs.

I'll be doing the same to the other side of the garage aswell... right now there is only 1 4x4 "pillar" in the middle of each 6x6.

The "pit" part is only about 10 feet long so I'll have a 6x6 pillar every 3 feet.

Granted it's what's the Cummins guys run... But those trucks RUN.

Why would you exchange one boat anchor for another? Get sumthin' that'll run good and not leave you waiting for the next "6 point Uh oh" moment! 7.3, baby!

Honestly once I have enough saved up whichever I come across first that is the right truck I'll go with.

Or just save a little extra and bulletproof a 6'er. Considering the 7.3 trans kinda suck with power upgrades and the 6.0's 5R110 is a damn tank, it comes out about even with bulletproofing the 6.0 vs upgrading the 4R100 in the 7.3. A bp'd 6 is no joke with minor upgrades... If I had had the cash when I was in the market, I'd've gone 6.0 and fixed all the issues.

Come on man, you act like I'm not going to learn more on here between now and then Plus you know for damn sure I'll find some s̶u̶c̶k̶e̶r̶ really good friend on here that can come with me and verify that I'm getting a good truck. You think I'm going to get talked into a 6.0 or a 7.3? That's right, unless the 7.3 I run across first is 4k less I'm in it to win it

Would be ever better if said friend had AE and could hook up and really check out the rig for ya. Should look down here in Texas, diesels are adundant and cheeeeeeaaaaap. Especially the 6.0's, they're still bouncing back from the initial bad rap they got.

Just put on a DC alternator and FICM with the Atlas 40 tune. Got the hellwig rear sway bar in the back seat, waiting till this afternoon.
