Not knowing what year truck you have or engine I can offer this:

Check the wiper blades, 38,000 miles the air filter should be changed if it hasn't already and oil the door hinges. While your at it check the tire pressure.
Throw us a little more information out there.
Welcome aboard to the FTE fourm.

Don't know why, thats just the first thing that came to mind.

I have a Mustang nicknamed BOB. It is in reference to the condition of the car when it came to me- "Bag Of Buttholes". Customer had $3500 in work in it and could not pay, so he just signed it over to me.

Use only Motor craft 5W20 ( $11 for 5 quart jug at walmart) and either Motor craft or Wix filters. Other than that, theres not much to know.
How many miles on it now?

Thanks.

In that case, oil and filter, air filter and fuel filter and check all the fluids.
Then it should be good to 60K without anything but oil and lube.
If you work in a lot of dust anouther air filter around 50K too.

Why only motorcraft oil? I use mobil 1 5w-20 when I had my 5.4 and the ford place I go to said that is alot better then the motorcraft conventional oil.

Thats fine. I did not mean only Motor craft, I meant only 5W20.
20W50 like guys ran in the 351s and 460s will kill a 5.4 or V10.

The Motor craft is what I use becuase its super cheap and gives great protection.
If you want to spend more on Mobil 1 or RP I am sure thats better oil.

Your truck is named "BoB"? Cool. The first day I showed up at work with my new SD one of the guys called it "Megatron" and the name stuck. I don't really know what a Megatron is but I guess it fits, anyhow that's what everyone calls it. Good luck with your new machine.
