Disconnecting Heater Core Hoses

Disconnecting Heater Core Hoses
The question of how to disconnect the heater core hoses comes up once in awhile put I have never seen pictures so here you go:
One hose still connected. Notice tabs on the male tube connector with hose disconnected, and how they lock the male and female connectors together in lower image.
All that needs to be done to disconnect the male connector from the female connector is pinch the tabs together to release the locking tabs, then pull, and maybe wiggle, and the hose connectors pull apart.
You may not be able to get your hand in there to pinch the tabs but this is for illustration. It doesn't take much force so if you use something other than your fingers don't crush the tube.
There are two O-rings separated by a spacer. If there is only one O-ring then the other is stuck in the female connector.
To reconnect just push together. It's really simple once you get a view like this.
Thank you camodown for the heater core and hoses. I tried to send you a PM but your box is full so I emailed you. Please respond. Thanks.
