Quick Master Cylinder question

I'm in the process of bleeding my MC on my '56 F600. On the back side there is a split with some wires attached.

There are 5 ports but only three of them actually are being used for the brake lines, the other two connect to themselves externally. Am I right in thinking that this isn't actually doing anything and just a "plug" made by someone without plugs?

It seems to me it's just one more place to get air trapped... am I alright to just put some plug bolts in? Seems logical to me but I haven't seen the inside of one of these before and on the very off chance that it's actually doing something...

Thanks

No problem plugging the two un-needed ports.
That is just a block and has no internal parts.

it looks to me like just a bypass because there no plugs. if you do use plugs make sure you use the right ones, look inside the fitting if it's inverted flair you'll need a inverted flair plug...pipe will leak.

Yeah I put some plugs in and discovered that this caused me to have no breaks, just a rather solid pedal. So after twice as many hours I'm back to where I started, lol.

No idea what it does, but the brakes didn't work at ALL, even though the pedal was very solid, when I plugged it...
