Well we are way shock what we inspect on our 01 F250 with v10. It grow so so fast than last year.

Dealer already bought for $5K and he didn't inspect under truck. I bet he would scrap it.

Interested this truck is plow truck and frame isn't rot like our. Bed mount isn't rot.

Our f250 never been plow or have mount.

 

Not exactly sure what the two pics after the fuel filler are showing, as long as it's not the actual frame thats rusted through that all looks about par for the course where I live for a 10 yr old truck. Once the wheel arches start, they go FAST.

 

Looks like it could have been a flood truck from Katrina...

 

Scrapped? Heck, throw on another bed and drive it another 100k.

Can't do. Cab is rot too.

You know those grey step bar that mount to cab are little broke it tweak.

 

That is frame on bed are broke.

 

... and that's why I love Arizona, no rust!

 

Hope they improved the bed to fender area. Every 04 and older in our area gets cancer from the inside out.

 

Looks exactly like mine. I have a new bed sitting on the trailer, just haven't gotten to it yet.

 

Living in an area that uses calcium for the roads in the winter I'm not surprised by that rot. My vehicles generally don't look much different after 5-10 yrs. I too wish they offered the option of purchasing good rust prevention coatings, if they offered a Rhino liner or similar to the frame and underside of the cab/body I would gladly pay quite a bit extra for it.

Also happens when people do not wash the under carriage of their vehicles in the winter on those mild days during the winter months. Very simple thing to do , especially if you live in a snow belt area where they use large amounts of salt on the roads.

Rust is like cancer, get to it quickly. before it spreads. If I find an area with rust on my SuperDuty " chasis" , When the temp is right, I sand down, prime and use rust proof flat black spray paint. Looks OEM and last for a very long time.

A chaisis that is all orange peeling with metal shavings falling of it is a vehicle that has never been washed under the chasis in a snow belt state Unless if it is a TOYOTA Rust Bucket.

No sir, my 05 already has a couple bubbles on the left fender. It's a design flaw where the support above the wheel joins the bed side at the pinch weld allowing moisture and crud to get trapped in there. A simple application of foam filler in that area when they're assembled could easily prevent it.

I'm getting tired of seeing Mil post these pics though... Multiple times, on multiple forums, every few months, isn't helping anybody...
