C6 shifter quandry

Good Sunday Morning!
Just picked up a C6 for my 351. Whats the concensus out there as to which brand/model use get for a shifter? What about the length of the shift handle for a bench seat?

The only one I'm familiar with from the good ole days some 40 yrs back is B&M. Looking at Summit and Jegs, B&M makes a slew of shifters.

Who's had success out there with floor mounted shifters? Who makes a good, simple, solid product out there?

I'm using a Lokar ATS60C6BM shift with a 16" shift handle. Overall I'm pretty happy with it, but it is a pain to setup so that the lock-out switches work properly.

If you haven't done it already, you will have to modify the transmission cover to accommodate the C6. Several of the suppliers offer an enlarged transmission cover.

Why not just use your stock column shift handle - if it's still installed?

I did, it's easy- I have pictures!

I've seen those expanded transmission covers in several catalogs, but I can't remember which ones. Check Dennis Carpenter and Classic Haulers.

We modified my factory plate to accommodate the C6 and the Lokar shifter. That was before I realized that you could buy them.

Here's a link to the one that MAC's sells. Mine doesn't look like this though.
