thanks guys I think the shocks had the closed loop at the top the shocks are long gone as are most of the mounts but it looks like they are for the closed loop type
I'm not sure if your talking about the shock or mount. The upper shock mount on the mud truck, 78 F250, is made for the shocks with the tops that look like a bolt or stud, goes through the mount and a nut screws down on it with a rubber insulator under it. I checked the ones on my truck out, they are rusted but they should work if you would clean them up with a wire wheel and paint them.
Also, if you want mine you'll have to get some new bolts to hold them, these are bad enough I think i'll have to cut the bolts with a grinder to get them off.
