Did you rent that place I sent earlier or find out the cost? I can provide more in the area I just thought that looked good with the kitchen and all.

Gotcha Woody finding a Stable with bed and breakfast in the area will be tough. This one is nice but looks like the horses are out. But maybe I am missing something.

I will check some more. This is about a hour out from Quitiana.

I'm embarrassed to say that I've never fished the gulf. All my tackle is for salmon or bass fishing. I do have a 10ft pole but I lost the reel somewhere. I'm heading to Wally World(Walmart) to pick up supplies, any suggestions on line,hooks,lures,reels,etc.etc.?

This is what I bought for surf fishing, but a little lighter will be okay too.

Its a Penn 5000 and the rod below is a 9.5 ft med/heavy. I plan to use 15 pound test and 75 to 100 pound liter to the hook.

But I have some lighter tackle that I use out there too but only from the jetties or the river or the intercoastal or some of the bays.
So buy what ouy could use at home for a average size to big cat fish and you should be fine.
Here is a guy talking about red fish rigging.
