are you drunk? i said it leaked a couple OUNCES of oil, then it stopped leaking. and it was also a front seal, or whatever the hell you would call the front crank seal. yeah, i am hoping to drive it home. i said 30 miles, but it is more like 20 miles from my house, and it is a straight shot down a side road. i like to drive things to feel them out for problems. everything passed the visual inspection, but i haven't got it to move under its own power yet, so who knows how good of shape it is in until i take it around the block a few times before hitting the road for real at speed
Well hope all goes well.

solid enough to stand on, but i don't know for how much longer. i did find out that the tub is rhinolined under the carpet in the back section of it. well i got it, just didn't make it all the way home. ran decent for a mile or so, and then the carb crapped out completely. gonna have to rebuild the crappy 2bbl. surprisingly, when i could get it to run under a load, it felt very strong, and even after 8 years of sitting the brakes worked and the tires weren't flat spotted, my sister put here brand new car in storage for 2 years and the tires had to be replaced, so i am super happy, just wish i would have gotten all the way home, gonna have to get it tomorrow because all my friends are working or in classes right now, or out on fire dept. calls. the only issue besides the carb, was that the power steering is shot. i don't know if it needs rebuilt or bleed or what, because it had fluid in it, but it barely worked

i'll let you know whats up with it after i get it home and can assess the situation a little better. it might just need bleed, or the belt could be loose and stretched out. i'm just glad the brakes weren't froze up or shot. the guy said he had a new master cylinder and some other brake work done a while back when he was starting to restore it.

thanks man. sorry i didn't buy one of your trucks, i just couldn't swing that much cash right now. had to buy a matress set and throw my daughter her 1 year birthday party and payed some bills. there just wasn't that much fun money left over. tomorrow i get to rebuild my first carb. i was thinking about a 4bbl and aluminium intake, but i don't want to sink any more money into the 351 than i have to, so i am just gonna rebuild the 2bbl to get this beast on the road. afterall, my name ain't fatdan351, is it
