1937 pickup bed floor finishing
I have a new steel pickup bed in need of a wooden floor. I was thinking of going with a nice finished oak floor. But also,I figure you guys might of gone with a diffrent type of wood. I would love hear what you guys used, like type of wood, staining and clear coating. Its more of a nice driver then a garage queen/show truck. I have the stainless steel hold down strips.
Thanks !
Thanks !

1940 one ton truck bed wood assembly
Hi,
I went with 2x8x8ft (long bed one ton) pressure treated wood for mine - i used oak for the underlying cross members, just like original design, then used polyurethane stain - for floors - diamond brand - the floor type dries twice as fast - it came out great -
plus with PT wood, it will last forever with 3 coats of poly. real oak will work, cost 2-3x more, up to you.
see my pics for reference.

i have yet to figure out how to add pics directly into this site, terrible user tools..., any help here?
