Finding the sorce of water in the oil?

I have a 1994 5.0, I thought I had blown a head gasket. I took it all down to repair it and gaskets look fine, heads look fine, block looks fine? I cleaned everything up very well and see no problems. If any one has some ideas I would appreciate it. I do not want to put a bunch of work in to this motor and install some extras on it just to find out I have not fixed the problem. Thank you

Have the heads pressure tested for leaks. Closely examine the timing cover to insure it's not corroded enough to leak coolant into the oil. Look at the cylinder walls closely checking for vertical cracks, these usually happen in the middle portion of the bore where the walls are thinnest and are the hardest to spot with the pistons in the bores. Also check the lifter valley walls, this is where cracks will first form if the coolant freezes.

Is timing cover where the timing chain is? I'm sure that's a pretty ridicules question lol. I'm starting to figure this stuff out, there's sure a lot to it.

Did you put thread sealer on the head bolts? Some of these holes are supposed to be blind but I had a similar problem and found coolant on the head bolt threads where there wasn't supposed to be any and some RTV fixed the issue.
