New head unit

New head unit
So I bought the '06 FX4 knowing that I would not have iPod conectivity easily. After 3 days of nothing but radio, and stations that were programmed by the wifey, I decided to ditch the factory head unit.
I just had a Pioneer DEH-3200UB installed and it's awesome. I would definitely recommend this receiver.
Full iPod controls via the face plate or the included remote. USB and Aux inputs on the front of the face plate. The sound quality is worlds above the factory unit. Three color choices also: Red, blue, or a green that is nearly factory. It looks really clean, even with the DIN sized pocket. I had the guys at the shop line the pocket with a high density foam rubber that is about 2mils thick so the iPod won't slide around.
Best of all, it was installed for under $250 and in less than an hour. If anyone is looking for a good low-middle end receiver and you're iPod heavy, you should definitely consider this one.

Hey Coskid. I had the guys over at Audio One do this for me. They're on W. Broad St, just off the intersection of Libbie Ave and Broad (right next to the Walgreens). They do nice work, and in a timely fashion.
I dealt with Donnie over there. Nice guy...talks REALLY fast though.

You ride also? I spent 4 good years in college working in a bike shop (sales and service) up in Fredericksburg and I'm always looking for another guy to ride with. A buddy and I usually head out to Pocahantas State Park b/c it's easy to get in miles and it's not overly technical.
I find myself riding these days to "clear my head" and work off the previous night's alcohol consumption

I had my bike stolen a few years back and have not replaced it but I do wish I had. I have a friend with an extra bike that I can borrow from time to time but no I don't ride as much as I would like. I have found the wife, kids, and company take up most of my time these days. The time I have left I fish or think of something to do to my truck next.

Nice! My last bike was nothing like that. It was a Trek 6500 that was bought for me about 10 years ago **** no 12 years ago. It lasted a long time for me and was still in good condition when it was stolen about 5 years ago.
I know the owners up at 3 Sports and have considered asking them to setup a new bike for me but currently the wife doesn't think I need another hobby.
Actually it was more like 3 years ago i lost it. man having kids messes with your memory.
