My memory says that the overdrive ratio on these was only 19% or so. I was interested in swapping a 337 and overdrive 5 into an F-2 until I tried to find a truck transmission that would fit in the F-2. I still have the big Lincoln 337 I picked up years ago.

What transmission gearing would the Lincoln have? 3sp, 4sp, auto?

Lincoln used the GM 4 speed hydromatic behind the 337 in passenger cars. Also optional was overdrive in the form of a Borg-Warner T85-R11 setup that gives 29% overdrive. I guess you could have purchased a Lincoln with just the column shift three speed T85 without overdrive, but I have never heard of one.
