im just gonna repaint my exterior black again... but i have some body "blemishes" to make dissappear first... ntm the cross braces that attach the bed to the frame are rotting away so ill probably cut them out and weld in some new ones...

I have to put in Cab corners for sure, and I'll have to take a close look at the front cab mounts. I'm considering removing the cowl sheet metal, so I can clean out any rust, and get something in there to keep it from coming back. the bed also has a few holes that need filled in the bedfloor, otherwise it's in good shape.

as far as rus goes on mine... its just them cross braces, the bottom of the ouside bed pannels, the fender wells right underneath the battery... and a couple small holes that formed around the door seals...

Good morning Pat, Shawn and everyone..
I know I already said good morning in the other states, but just getting out west..
Pat Blue would be a great color choice..
That is what started my Ford addiction.. A Blue 68 Hi-boy that a local guy had..

Morning Don, Neil. I've seen a few shades, on some newer vehicles that are absolutely gorgeous. One is a Ford color, and another is a Dodge color. I've also collected some pics of other bumpsides with various other colors, just for reference. I'm thinking it's going to be blue, though!

Good morning all.... it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
Blue???? I thought for sure Pat would go with "husker red", Isn't there some kind of law in NE that all restorations get painted red?

Morning Rob. No, I've already had a red truck. I'm actually not a big red vehicle guy, I prefer something a little more subtle. But, it's good to see true Husker fans, like yourself, with the Husker Red vehicles.....

Well, looks like I'm going to have to move to a new metropolitan area, it's just not safe around here any more!
Wiggles to have vicious-dog hearing June 15

SIOUX CITY -- A hearing before a Sioux City police officer has been set for Wiggles the shih tzu, who was declared vicious a second time by Sioux City Animal Control for biting another girl.
The hearing will be at 11 a.m. June 15 at Sioux City police headquarters. In the meantime, Wiggles is behind bars at the Animal Control shelter.
Wiggles earned a reprieve in February when a police hearing officer overruled a designation labeling the dog a vicious animal for biting a neighbor girl. The little dog was taken back into custody May 11 for biting his owner Josh Blanford's fiancee's niece on the arm at Blanford's Jennings Street home.
Blanford previously told the Journal that the girl and her sister picked Wiggles up and were trying to determine whether he was male or female before the dog nipped.
Assistant City Attorney Justin Vondrak said Monday that judgement will be rendered against Blanford if he fails to show up for the hearing. Vondrak said he believes the victim will be present at the hearing. If she doesn't attend, he said, Wiggles will go free.
"We have cooperation from the witnesses," he said. "That's why we're going forward."
Blanford appeared at Monday's City Council meeting and questioned the council's decision to buy two vehicles for Animal Control, commenting that "it took three trucks to pick up a 15-pound shih tzu from my house."
Mayor Mike Hobart asked Blanford if he was Wiggles' owner. When Blanford replied he was, City Attorney Andrew Mai intervened and closed the discussion, noting that the council is the body that can either hear a vicious-dog appeal or appoint someone else to hold the hearing. The council has chosen the latter option in previous vicious-animal appeal cases.

My truck was more brown than red the other day... I "accidently" (on purpose) took a side trip down a farm road, after a heavy rain storm. Boy that was fun, except for having to clean the truck up afterwards.
