Question Porting Questions

Most people say to remove the thermactor roof bump for more power, but I was reading on www.reincarnation-automotive.com and Scott has determined that removal of the roof bump and exhuast bolt bump is not necessary. So whats yalls thoughts on this. Is it only pointless to remove them when you do a full porting job, or pointless all together. He also mentions shapeing the T-boss into a vane, now is this possible on heads where the T-boss is drilled. I e-mailed him earlier this month with a different question but didnt get a responce, I guess ill try again and see what happens.

Thanks
Chase

Porting Questions

I haven't followed his site since I went to aluminum heads, but the only reason I can think of for not removing the smog bump is if you were filling that area with epoxy to redirect the flow.
