scanner shuts engine off

scanner shuts engine off

when i plug the scanner in my 89 ford truck it will shut the motor off when it starts the test. anyone have this issue? i can run the scanner when it KOEO test, just can't do KOER test

The scanner should be plugged in with the engine (and key) off, then start the engine with the scanner in place.

yup did that. as soon as the scanner start to test, it kills it, weird

That is weird. Have you tried running the test without the scanner?
