Ooops!

I was at the Goodguys Del Mar show yesterday and there was a 49 Ford woody for sale in the swap meet area. The car was weathered but very complete and very restorable. Well is USED to be complete...it seems that while the guy was setting up his area he set the seats alongside the car and the trash pickup guy threw them in the dumpster! Ouch...
You always hear stories about people throwing away classic car/truck parts because they don't appreciate the value they have to collectors, but this is the first time I've heard of it happening at a major car show.

I would have made them go through the trash and find them. That kind of thing can sometimes be IMPOSSIBLE to replace! Ah the Del Mar Fairgrounds!

I have a set of seats for a 49 Coupe and I would pay someone to come get, cannot give them away and they are recovered. I understand what your saying though.

I bet if you advertised those seats on the HAMB that they would be gone in a heartbeat...
