Nice. Couldn't get it down my driveway without draging that axle, but nice anyway.
3", heck, my Harley's got more clearance than that.

So it's been a while, I didnt do much to the truck for a while but I've been hard at it for a bit here now. I ran into some problems with the motor, so I'm going to have it rebuilt. This is what I've done in the last week.. This is the first time I've ever done a motor swap, or even really worked this much on a truck so if you see somethinng that looks like a bad idea gimme a heads up. I'm just kind of winging this and doing it as I go.

I hit a bit of a bump in the road with this thing a while back (not really because it doesnt drive.) but I had to get my engine completly rebuilt. Which is a good thing I guess, it will be brand new, and no worries... or .. not as much worry should I say. So all the block work is finished, heads are done, parts are in, he's starting to put it together tonight. I'll post pics.

This thing is going down the road this summer even if I have to push it!!!!

Nice work on the cross member.

For your front axle check the scrub line by deflating one tire all the way with the oppsite tire at full. if the axle does not touch the ground you are ok.

Thanks Garbz, the axle would definatly drag.. unless I put 20's on it, which I wasnt planning on. Maybe I should bolt a couple casters under there just in case? Good call though, I never even thought of getting a flat with that axle.

3 summit boxes just arrived today, I'll hopfully be turning the key here soon enough. I leave for vacation for a week tomorrow though,. I dont even want to go now!!

Nice work. Summer is almost over. At least here anyway.

I'll be going down to Colorado where my 62 Uni is in a few weeks.

I plan to drive the wheels off her while looking for a Monkey face I can bring home.

Awesome, yeah we have pretty short summers here, I'm hoping to be able to drive it a month or two before its got to go to storage. bought a 67 Galaxie at the first of the summer to keep me sane... so I didnt miss out too bad haha

My buddies finishing up the wiring tomorrow night at we should be ready to start it. Drive shaft, brake lines, quick coat of paint and she'll be good to go.

Thanks! No I havnt had a chance to do too much to it in a while. I put it out at a buddy's garage for the winter, I'm hoping to get the last few bits finished up in the spring and at least make it driveable.
