Thanks J.D. I've had it since 1977. It was a pickup when I bought it .

Then you are another, and one of the few, long time owners. You have me beat by a few years, as I did not get possession of my F-2 till December of '82. Then again, Dad had the truck before me, and his little brother before him. Truck landed with the family initially somewhere around 1969.

Interesting stories, guys. I bought mine in 1977 from my Grandpa. He bought it new in December of 1954.

Talking

Makes a pretty good rolling scaffold, and it's handy having the flat bed for hauling whole limbs!

Truck was losing antifreeze and was smoking white. Pulled Number 1 spark plug and antifreeze came out.

Off with the heads!

Valley was full of muck!

Numer 1 was full of antifreeze.<br/>Wonder why.

Gertie at the 19th annual Hot Rods and Rock 'n Roll on main street in downtown Columbus, IN. Sept. 19th, 2015.

She drew a lot of interest, and was probably the oldest "survivor" vehicle on display. Other entries that old or older, were either fully restored, or rodded in some fashion.

The old girl was the 136th vehicle registered, out of around 150 or so. First show she has ever entered.

Oh no! Well, at least it was just the head gasket. Is everything else ok on it?
