49 M68 Mercury

Hoping to be able to drive this soon - engine/transmission go in this week, assuming I can scrape up a few extra $ the rear end should be done this month as well. Always takes longer than expected of course. It would be great if we could get it rolling for some of that great fall weather in the Pacific northwest.

Thanks Rusty 57. That engine green is as close to the original factory color for Mercury trucks as we could find, and we've stayed with factory colors for other parts under the hood as much as possible. The truck body will get done in the future - maybe next year - but it's staying original as well. The parts you can't easily see, like transmission, rear-end and suspension have all had some outright replacement or at least tinkering, and I'm not as worried about the colors on those - likely all will be black.

I did not realize the Mercury truck engine's were that color of lime green. Really nice job!
