question about my 5.0

ok guys well about a month ago i bought my 87 150 and i thought the motor was stock but me being curious i got to looking around and found that my motor wireing harness had been "modified" and the truck was owned by one of my grandpas friends so i asked the guy about the motor and come to find out it is a 5.0 ho from a stang...but heres the twist it still has the truck intake manifold and MAP stuff. Now my question since my "H.O" dose not have the H.O intake what makes it H.O if anything at all and i know the stangs had a MAF instead of the MAP. i do know that this motor takes dang near 6.5 quarts of oil but i thought it just had the 4x4 oil pan.
Im just looking for some info on it any is apreciated thanks guys

I believe the HO had a slightly different cam. 6.5 quarts of oil seems a little high, I know that my 5.8 takes 6 quart if you include the filter. If the intake is a truck intake, then the truck is probably still running SD instead of MAF.

The cam and intake are the big things defining the HO motor, most of them also had forged pistons but the compression ratio is the same as other 5.0 motors. The truck intake easily outflows the HO intake so it's not restricting the motor, and neither is the SD EFI system in the truck, all stock ford motors run just fine on both SD and MAF without any changes.
