How many RPM's at 75mph?

My truck runs at 2300rpm at freeway speeds. Is this right?

Better than mine . Do you have 4.10 gear ratios? I think you might have 3.73 cause mine is over 2600 RPM at 75MPH 60MPH is around 2000 RPM

Ya i got 4.10 as well and i turn around 2500 at about 75 so you must be turning 3.73 gears.

2250 RPM @ 70MPH is about normal with 4:10's and OEM size tires.
The speed-o is programmable for different size tires.

'95 4x4 5-speeds (one ECLB one RCLB), stock 235/85R16s, 3.55s, both do exactly 2000 RPM at 70 MPH. Equates to aprx. 2140 RPM at 75 MPH.

Same tires, same tranny should do aprx. 2250 with 3.73, and 2475 with 4.10.

What kind of fuel mileage do you get with 3.55's?

I have done some calculations on my mileage and the results are not so great! looks like I am getting just over 7mpg!!! What the heck. Dualls 4x4 make a huge differance or what? not sure on my rpms at 75mph cause we don't have a very straight rode around here. Lots of steep hills though.

I have a 97 crew 4x4 F250 and get 14 MPG in the city (35MPH) and 18 MPG on the HWY(70MPH) . That is at sea level with a pint of 2 cycle in the tank and a little DieselKleen.

Up in the mountains 3000-8000 feet on hilly roads going 40 MPH consumption goes to 10-12 MPG.
