SLR Motorsports

Hello All,

I have an 05 F-250 CC Lariat V-10. SLR Motorsports advertises a perfomrance chip which claims an improvement of 50 HP and 50 TQ plus an additional 3-6 MPG. Does anyone have any real world experience with this chip, especially on a V-10. A friend of mine just put one on a Chevy with the 8.1 L and it has not shown any improvement in mileage around town. He has not been able to test it on the highway yet. When I am getting 10-14 MPG an improvement of even 2 MPG would be significant considering the chip only cost $75.

Never heard of them are seen anyone post about them. For $75 I highly doubt you'll get that kind of HP, TQ and MPG improvement.

Myself and many others are very happy with tunes from 5 Star Tuning

3-6MPG from a V10 is impossible. Yes, I said it - IMPOSSIBLE. With a tuner.

You might get better MPGs, if you're currently running 3.73 gears, and go to 4.30's (or whatever is correct for your tire size), AND tow heavy.

But a tuner? Nope.

For performance, check with Mike at 5-star tuning, the sponsor of the V10 forum here. The 3-valve V10 has a bit of power to be unlocked with his tunes, and maybe some SLIGHT improvement in mileage, but 3-6 is an outrageous claim by anyone

I purchased a chip from SLRMOTORSPORTS for my truck and returned it back to them with the needed RA# they gave me and they never credited my credit card and haven't responded to any emails. I'm out the $70.00 for the chip. They have the chip and my money and won't respond to my emails. They have a PO box for an address and no phone number listed. I should have known it was a scam. I wouldn't do any business with them again. SLRMOTORSPORTS are thieves and they are running a scam.

key words: SLRMOTORSPORTS, chip, SLR

If it sounds to good to be true it's probably BS.
