lol. it CAN. its not at the moment thank God... i just made a comment bout the 400 in my 78 havin not runnin well cause of a spun bearin, and this dude that ALWAYS argues bout the 460 bein better is like: sounds like a good time to put a 460 in! i guess some people just cant see the light... the 400 makes more HP and TQ per cubic inch than the 460 even thought about. and it does it cheaper, both in fuel economy and the amount for the performance parts...

Happy March guys... a little confusing around here, what with two March BS threads. I know I'm sick, but got worried that I was seeing double or something?
Feeling a little better today, but still at home for today and probably tomorrow too. At least the sun looks nice coming in the windows. The dumb cat is sitting here looking me like "what the heck are you home for?".

hi rob! good thing i didnt come down then!
and i usually jump right in the middle of the 400 vs. 460 debates and rip em apart. ive done so much research on the 400 its redonkulous... every other motor debate i dont care about unless somebody is miss-namin an engine, like callin a 429 a cobra jet, or tackin the M on the 400 and makin it 400M... only the 351 has the "M" designation.

I gave up on asking questions or sharing my experiences in the tech forum, if it's not some obviously simple answer it turns into a huge debate and p***ing contest between a couple know-it-alls. Of course, if it's a simple question, you usually get chewed out for being stupid and not knowing the answer in the first place.
Seemed like it was the same way in the diesel forum when I visited there during my brief time as a diesel owner.

If you take a 352 and add it to a 351M, then subtract a 302+1, you get a 400. The 'M' gets lost in the conversion. It's just that simple.
(I don't have the guts to post that in one of those 'debate' threads!)
