hows it sound with the inline? i have a generic one into two muffler and it sounds awesome at low rpms, but it gets a little funky at high rpms. the stock cats also seems to quiet down these trucks too. i like your hood. get some one peice headlights to match the aftermarket marker lights. i bet it would really tie everything together.

They come from the factory with 2 exhaust manifolds(3 cylinders per manifold), not one big one b/c they have a tendancy to crack a long azz 6 cylinder exhaust manifold.

the muffler on mine was cut off and replaced with a 28" cherrybomb, but its still quiet, i have also cut exhaust off in front of the cat and went with 28" cherrybomb hen exit in front of rear wheel and it still wasn't very loud... any ideas? i don't have the cash for new headders or y pipe at the moment and id like it to sound better lol

Thats why I went with a larger case Magnaflow. It still sounds good, but is mellow and you can hardly hear it inside. A larger Dynomax Superturbo would give similar results.

I think they maybe the tips are what your tired of. For those square type they should be at 90 degrees to the bed. I would get some round tips for it and do the Gen2 style like Jason.

The inline 6 does not move that much air, a good flowing single 2.25-2.5 inch exhaust is all it needs. True duals would be a waste and it won't sound any different.

He's right. been down this road before. dont waste your time building dal exhaust for a straight six unless you built the engine way up.

the muffler on mine was cut off and replaced with a 28" cherrybomb, but its still quiet, i have also cut exhaust off in front of the cat and went with 28" cherrybomb hen exit in front of rear wheel and it still wasn't very loud... any ideas? i don't have the cash for new headders or y pipe at the moment and id like it to sound better lol
I your truck has the 351w in it, just hollow the cats out then put the glasspacks on. I have a feeling ou'll be redoing the exhaust again and dumping it out the rear. unless you live where its flat and no hills. I had mine dumping out in front of the pass rear tire, anytime it downshifted, forget about even thinking in the cab.
