06 f350 6.0 advice

My truck has 90,000 miles, all stock except a 2'' leveling kit going on soon. Oh yeah i also did the zoodad mod. My questions are;
1) What programmer do I get for towing a 32' 5th wheel occasionally, 8-9 times a year? I don't need any head problems unless you think ford will warranty it. The truck has 3.73 gearing w/18'' wheels and auto trans. I think 50-75 hp would be safe.
2) What size/brand exhaust, 4''or5'' and turbo back or cat back?
3) What gauges do you recommend: pyrometer? it has tranny temp and boost from factory already. Are those accurate?
4) I eventually want to Change out wheels and tires. It has stock 18'' King Ranch wheels w/ Bridgestones, more of a highway street tire. I like BFG'S. What size can I fit with the 2'' lift in front? 305-315's?

I hear good things about the sct programmer, I'm assuming that is the Superchips Cortex? I hear they have a 2 year powertrain warranty. Any help would be greatly appreciated on this newer truck. I came from a 99 f250 7.3 w/4,10's; 3 1/2'' dwnpipe;5'' catback exhaust and 50 hp programmer-Diesel dynamics. Let her go with 267,00 miles. Love my Fords!!

How does the truck tow now?
Do you feel that the truck needs a programmer?

I have an 06' F-350 6.0,,,I tow 4 different trailer's,,equipment, dump, 16' enclosed, small boat,,,my truck pulls any of these with relative ease,,truck is stock with about 49k on it now,,I have thought about a programmer also,,,,But my truck has been great no issues,,and would rather keep it that way,,,lol,,Good Luck,,,Mark

I agree with M350 on the programmer. You don't need it, and it is not safe to use when towing. The SCT with custom tunes may be the best of the choices. But it is impossible to increase the motor output without stressing the components. And we know where the weaknesses are. The reality is, you don't need it.

On exhaust, there is no reason to go with 5". The 4" is ideal unless you go crazy with mods and tuners. Personally I think turbo back with the CAT retained is the best way to go. Start with that and then if you want to ditch the CAT or short pipe it, you've got the basis to do it.

There are a lot of tire fitment threads here. You probably should do a search. But I'm pretty sure 305's fit with a 2" leveling kit. I wouldn't recommend going bigger than that if you will be towing a 32' FW.

Talking to my friend at the dealer the other day and he explained to me that Ford can tell if a programmer has been ever hooked up in your truck even when the dealer can't. As soon as they hook it up to the computer there is certain information that will cause a direct link to Fords computer and the dealer might not even know!
