Will the real Sheridan Blue please stand-up?

What troubles me in that Ace Hardware pic is the mini van parked next to it poised to hand out some door dings. Here's another pic of it in similar lighting.
Also, getting back to your thread title, if you want "real" Sheridan Blue you've got the DuPont paint code. I think that Van Pelts or one of the other sites has the PPG paint code too. Stu

That paint code chart at Earl's World is the first place I checked. Unfortunately, Sheridan Blue isn't on there. Thanks for the link though!

I should keep in mind that Earl's World has all that info. Thanks Dick. DV - look again.
I've gotta take this off topic a little. That "surf green" Mk1 Mini in the background makes my heart ache for my '67 Cooper "S" that I sold a few years ago. I guess only Jay Leno can keep them all. Stu

I think the actual name of the color is "surf blue" as I've thought about it. It's a blue/green shade that is sort of an acquired taste. A buddy of mine has one that was originally that color. Few keep them that color when they redo them.
I also like the dark blue Dodge Power Wagon in the background. Stu

The old lacqure appears to show Sheriden Blue as a rich deep blue - The modern paints will show that color - only out of direct lighting - also clear coat reflects any other color blending it with the blur xspecially red and green.
I like a deep color that you can crawl into - looks like you can get trapped in this one.

I'll appologize for the poor quality picture, but my 52 F-3 was originally Sheridan Blue, and will likely end up the same color when the bodywork is done.
Anyways, here is a picture of the original factory paint (ignore the firewall). The paint is weathered, but it does show the deeper navy blue color.

FYI
Thanks Bill. I should have mentioned that my truck is red now, and I can only find a small spot of blue underneath the cab... not suitable for color-matching. I don't have a Sheridan Blue truck to match to, other than the pics that I find online.
I guess the other thing that I could do is just go pick a color that is close to what I want and not worry about whether it's "Sheridan blue" or not.
