I feel for you man! I gave up my garage to buy this place. Now I have to drive to petersburg to a budies place to work on my truck. I was there a week ago to swap out trannies. Some day I will have my garage with a lift and heat and all the goodies lol.

Yeah I will have one in the next year or so also. I planed on building one after our house was done but my septic tank was not put where i told them to put it and that put the breaks on my plans for now. I am trying to talk my wifes father into letting me put one a little further back behind our house(he owns the land behind us) because my wife gets that land in the future anyway.

My problem is that we live on top of a ridge. My yard is all slope and it would take a 4-5 foot retaining wall to back fill to build a place on lol.

It should make for a good storm shelter though lol. It might not be to hae it that way though. it will help keep heat in in the winter and stay a little cooler in the summer.
