Yeah, I don't think that's a problem then. I've got an auto and I'm always leary of rocking it with the drive/reverse thing.

I put mine through ALOT of abuse. They were still working when I gutted them. The bearings in them were shot but they still locked in and pulled every time. I will replace them with manuals tho. Overall I was impressed how well they held up and can't really complain about them at all. I should be kicked up one side and down the other for where I've taken my truck but they never failed me on the trails or the mud holes. The only time I ever got stuck was when I found a stump hole where they had cleared some land, and then I slid off an icy road into a corn field and she sat down rocker deep.

Thats the trick. The slamming back and fourth is what kills them. If you pause a second between forward and reverse and let it all tighten up before you mash the throttle they will hold up.

Had auto hubs on 33" tires for years with out issue. even a tough truck compition with my 92 bronco.

They are not for hardcore trails and 37" tires. But for simple mudding and 33" tires, they work great.

well, when they went on my old explorer, my parents never really went anywhere extreme, and only used the four wheel drive on ice or slick conditions for safety, but they went. and on my truck, i really dont think i was ever that hard on em. stock tires, a little rockin action, but in a stick, when i DO go forward to reverse, its not like i can jam it anyways, cause i have to wait for things to match up...
