Question 2wd front leaf springs tempting me

Is it workable to swap in, a stock 1960 f100 4x4 axle into a 1960 2wd f100 with leaf spring front suspension allready in it. Or is the suspension not suitable for that type of axle? looks promising to me ?

Yes, it's doable. Here's a build thread by a guy that has done exactly that, except his truck is an earlier Bonus Built. The procedure is the same. Only the measurements will differ.

I'm gearing up to follow his blueprint myself on my truck. I would not suggest using a '60 axle, though. The closed-knuckle style axles used in the early 4x4 trucks limit your braking options and are EXTREMELY hard to find parts for. You're better off with an early Bronco axle or narrowing one to fit out of a mid-70's F-150.
