Door panels/Kick Panels
What are some of the bases used to make these, is masonite acceptable or how about 1/8" plywood? Anyone have any experience good or bad using something other than the plastic sold by some suppliers? I plan to cover these with vinyl and am looking for something I can get locally to use, Thanks

Oh there's lots of stuff. Hard coated (with colors) fibre board, ABS sheet, PVC sheet, Masonite, and 1/8" plywood.
I prefere the wood type poducts (masonite) because I usually cover them with naugahyde (sp) and it glues down better the wood.
You could probably fimd the ABS or PVC in colors too.
I can't think of any reason not to use any of these.

I just went to home depot and got some 1/8 inch MDF $5.00 a sheet. 1 sheet will do 1 door and kick panel and i made my own patterns with some 16th inch see through plastic. Im going to have my buddy at work sow the vinyl up with a spider web design to follow the theme of my truck. Its nice having a Parachute rigger around lol.
